IT WASN’T LIKE HOPE was an unfamiliar face at the bar. She was more like a fixture than anything. The woman didn’t know if that was a good or a bad thing. It was a familiar space in a town that seemed so new, despite knowing every nook and cranny. Her interest was piqued when she heard an unfamiliar voice ordering from the bartender nearby. Gaze emerging from the bottom of her glass, the woman turned examine the new individual who had entered her sacred space. “You drinking your problems too?” Fingers running along the rim of her glass, she waited for their answer.Â
