OKAY WELL WE KNOW IT WOULD BE WILD

canonically there are three mikoshiba siblings – seijuurou’s the oldest, momo’s the youngest (that we know of) and they also have a sister that’s around gou’s age (maybe she’s momo’s twin?? we just don’t know)

so, first of all, there are food fights. a lot. the mikoshiba parents are exactly as rowdy as the kids, and twice as competitive, so it can get ugly fast. once momo got a hunk of wasabi in his eye and had to go to the hospital. 

as for eating contests, they are a thing and they get intense. there’s normally about two or three a month, purely because momo always wins and he brags about it so much that both siblings are desperate to overthrow him.

seijuro eats like he swims: powerful and fast. you’d think he’d totally destroy the competition, but he breathes a lot when he’s eating fast so he winds up filling himself up quicker. he winds up needing to stop to burp a lot, long and drawn out noises that linger in his chest. this gives the other two time to get ahead.

mikoshiba sis can eat as much as her brothers, but she gets thirsty fast so she’ll also drink whatever’s available – water is good, but soda is a favorite. she gets really hiccupy, and eventually has to call it quits because she’s filled herself up so much.

momo somehow has unlimited room in his stomach, and it’s crazy just how much he can pack away. he doesn’t chew the food so much as he inhales it, and he barely even seems to breathe while he’s eating. while this gets him very stuffed, he still always manages to outeat both siblings.

momo, however, is prone to stomach aches whenever he overeats – bad ones that have him lying in bed or on the couch, groaning and trying hard to just fall asleep already because the pain’s too much. if he’s lucky, one of his siblings will take pity on him and rub his stomach until he falls asleep (if there are two things guaranteed to make him sleepy, it’s belly rubs and playing with his hair)

Twenty-seven pearls is downright excessive, worse that Haruka has no idea who they’re from, worse still that the culprit clearly doesn’t understand that in order for a courtship to work out they sort have to be... present.

They’re beautiful though, and he can tell by their coloring which part of the ocean they came from- a part that isn’t always welcoming of Haruka’s type and their propensity for thievery (borrowing, thank you)- and a part he eventually visits cautiously and by shadow.
