rosa in a slightly kinder timeline is basically a less righteous emiliano. her mother torneath was a soldier like iriangi, only torneath got promoted to nobility. if this promotion hadn’t taken place, rosa would have been a military kid just like emiliano, she would have been a page maybe a year ahead of him, and relatively free of constraints. she’d be able to date whoever she wanted and look however she liked and she’d be happy, but she might not be out there sparking revolutions or anything. she’d try to keep her head down. she wouldn’t be as cold or bitchy as she is now but she wouldn’t be very pleasant company either, unless she made an effort

now in an even kinder timeline, perhaps a well-adjusted timeline, rosa would be a member of clan fuil darach. she was conceived before the formation of court dorchadas, both her parents still members of fuil darach, so in this timeline there is no court dorchadas. of course in this timeline emiliano never even existed. rosa would be a border guard, i think - a solitary job, long hours away from the exhaustion of clan life, lots of time to think. more of a scout/spy than an actual fighter. fewer dating prospects though
