Felt like drawing my guy finally and figured pretty morning shot... simple n messy but i'm fond of how it ended up!

was hoping to show more of his pants ngl, i wanted to texture the fabric, but alas, blanket was more important in the sketch. messed w his hair at least. don't love the lighting but it was lagging out my computer so it's fine

didn't come out how i wanted but truth be told nothing does!! i wanted to do some kinda painting thing but i also wanted this to be quick and actually get done, so i settled. i'm just happy i finally have art of Dutch!! gotta love a good kitty cat companion. i wanted to draw him scragglier to better give off the former stray look, and because he's old and old cats just look so scruffy, but i opted for the short n simple option because lineless art is hard sometimes

but!! i drew Rory!!! like honest to god, human with no shenanigans Rory!!! for some reason he sucks to draw so this is a milestone lemme tell you.

also scars, i almost forgot his scars ngl but luckily for me the file messed up and i had to fix something else anyways so all good!

More WereCoyote, this big lump of a beast A. Loves getting scratches and is incredibly offended by werebeast advocates who try to claim it's dehumanizing B. Is nearly 7ft and somewhere over 290lbs and C. Likes to lay in very inconvenient spots during his Shifting Periods exclusively because it gets him more pets than if he just lounges around not being a nuisance.

I like to think Coyote thinks playtime = bare your teeth and shut your eyes reeeallly tight so your playmate knows you won't bite, because how are you supposed to bite if you can't see to aim.

He's a coyote, they're wild, they don't emote like dogs or wolves. His expressions while shifted are very aggressive-looking, made worse of course by the fact this giant of a man gets BIGGER while shifted. Usually this means big man gets muzzled so nobody thinks the wrong thing and does anything drastic.

I wasn't gonna share any art of Coyote drawn as an actual coyote on here for a lot of reasons, mostly because that's what I have an Unvale account for (/j) and I try not to make a habit of sharing my sketches/unfinished art in general, but I fell in love with this art and figured since I'm taking a break I should post the lineart before I struggle with the colors and lose interest. Might change the palette around honestly, I like it in concept but it doesn't go well with the art. I think I'll keep the pink and the lightest blue, and the orange is perfect for his eye so that might have to stay.

Regardless!! My man!!! This isn't an AU I just hate drawing people most of the time and so it is much easier to draw him as a literal coyote. Gonna go back and take out the lil lines in the one ear because I think the one without looks better. My favorite part is the lil bent hindleg, something about the way it came out makes me very happy. Also accidental heart on the hip scar... which might I add looks perfectly gnarly!! Big fan of that one too. That one's always a bit of a struggle and then I get a lil bit into it and I'm like "oh yeah that looks right" lol.
