Root RPG ep 8

Just ended a two year long root rpg campaign, cause I'm gonna be moving next month. It was a crazy last session, big fights, in party betrayals, one pc ended up killing another. And now its all over. I'm gonna miss these little monsters.

In our very limited time, we took a class on a very outdated, very unnecessary form of communication just so we could talk about you in front of you. Bitsy: you guys should be careful. I heard this story once of a spider who crawled inside this man’s ear and laid its eggs in there and the spider baby’s ate his brain.

Been thinking about running a West-Marches-like/lite “inspired” campaign. I’m jokingly thinking of it as a “Eastern Counties” to denote the difference. I’m planning for it to be run with the Root RPG system, and having the “full” player base be the “Knaves of the Deepwood” faction, where they play as more or less members of robinhood’s misfits trying to more-or-less sway the impacts of the regional war. The big reason why I say “Eastern counties” (or perhaps eastern clearings) is to denote that much of the area is civilized, and rather than focus primarily on exploration, it’d revolve around intrigue, as the players are more interested in swaying the impact of the war around them, rather than on exploring for loot or the like.
