We have a new toy to play with by the SF office. Say hello to the new Salesforce Transit Center! Just opened this past weekend. Buses began rolling into the Center this morning. Since my last beer garden post, I’ve actually had a chance to check out a few more beer gardens without taking any pictures. I went to the PHS Pop Up on South Street for a Sunday Funday with a friend and then Uptown Beer Garden for Sips. (Sips is actually on my bucket list, but I had such a bad experience that it’s definitely not getting its own post. I also will probably never go back because 27-year-olds just don’t belong there).
Cira Green was a beer garden that I was REALLY hoping I’d get a chance to experience. It’s super exclusive because it’s only open on a few Fridays this year. This upcoming Friday (6/23) is the last day that this elevated park will be open as a beer garden for 2017. A few weeks ago, I sent out an invite to my coworkers to try and rally a group. I knew this was my best bet for going since the park is pretty close to the office.
For the entire day, it looked and felt like it was going to rain. But by some luck, we got no rain at all and the sun actually came out right as we were leaving the office. We waited in a very short line to get up and once we were up there, purchased drink tickets, and spent a few hours just hanging. Given the exclusivity of this place, I was surprised that it wasn’t more crowded, but I also wasn’t complaining. Beer selection was decent, there was live music, and everyone there was just enjoying the (decent) views and relaxing. The only downside is how pricey the beers were, but I guess that’s what you get when you go to a place like this! It was still worth it, I think.
