Now go back almost thirty years prior to 1972 where Richard Sasnow's electric keys contribution ended up on said single. Who's responsible for that? J Dilla, that's who. How and where he'd come across a superbly obscure Canadian jazz-artist and matching stock music record is anyone's guess. Was he privy to the work of Ron Proby beforehand? Who knows, and who cares? It's only fun to connect the relationship to Proby to J Dilla and how Canadian obscura gets overlayed above hip-hop's omage.
