imagine you are in love with someone and they're a scientist, engineer, working on a project they can't tell you much about but it's going to save the whole world. and all you can really do is trust them to know what they're doing and watch them save the world from the ground. and then one day they don't come home. and you're waiting and waiting and you're about to report them missing to the police and you turn on the news and find out they're the replacement crew member and they're already under sedation and on the space craft. and they never told you. and you can never say goodbye and you will never know that they didn't want to go

Is it better or worse if the reason that nobody tells Seth is because Adrian didn’t tell anyone about him????? From what I know of Adrian he’s very private right so I can imagine him spending years on this project and he never talks about his life outside of it so everyone thinks he has no friends no family no social life and so they reassure themselves that it’s okay to send him because its not like theres anyone to miss him but us right……….but maybe when his Stratt was going through his things after knocking him out she saw a picture on his phone of a random man smiling at the camera which she’s been trying to unsee ever since
