Taliban, caste and South Asia discourse
A popular account on X app posted a news that Taliban rule brought out a new law that would divide the society into four classes, where the prescribed punishments for the same crime would depend on one's social status. Highest in the hierarchy would be the Islamic clergy that would be exempt from severe punishment. In the second category would be the elites, such as tribal elders, military commanders, etc. who would be warned but would not face imprisonment or corporal punishment. In the third category would be the middle class, for whom imprisonment may be imposed. The fourth category would consist of the rest, who don't fall in the aforementioned, they'd face corporal punishment. Do you hear where this is going? everyone in the comments are bringing up the caste system of India due to the superficial resemblance in the hierarchical structure. Even dumb Indians are jumping up and down and pointing out how Taliban is adopting Hindu custom. 
This is absolutely false! First of all, this kind of division of society into hierarchies is not unique to India. Feudal Europe had a far worse system with serfdom. Just read how Romanis were treated in medieval central-eastern Europe, even all the way in Sweden, your blood will run cold. Source. No such treatment was ever there in Hindu Vedic society!
Moreover, Taliban's alleged new law is the reverse. For example in the Manusmriti, kings were punished more severely than commoners, and brahmins would receive 64 folds the punishment a shudra would for theft. Tonsure, branding and public humiliation for unlawful sexual conduct for brahmins and death for other castes. You can decide yourself which is worse..
As you can see, Taliban's new alleged law has nothing to do with Hinduism. Now that we got that out of the way, let me point out another thing. This is most likely Pakistani propaganda against Afghanistan. At least the way this news is being framed. Lots of Pakistani accounts in the comments have posted the same copy-pasta comment that "Afghanistan getting closer to India is bearing its fruits". A notable detail here is that in Iran's Islamic regime, they've separate courts for Islamic clerics who have broken the law. Dadgah-e Vizheh-ye Rouhaniyat. Moreover, Pakistanis follow their Islamic hierarchical division. Here you can read more about the racism in Islamic world and the importance of lineage in Islamic society. Did you know that the Ahl Al-Bayt, Prophet Muhammad's immediate descendants, were conferred sacred authority, social prestige, tax exemptions & real political influence? Source. The Hashemites of Jordan, for example. King Hussein of Jordan, the descendant of Prophet Muhammed, was a central figure in conducting the Black September killings of Palestinians. And if this wasn't sad enough, Pakistani ministers say publicly how Muslims can't be hired for sanitation work because those are for "low caste Hindus and Christians". Even Pakistan's former PM Liaquat Ali Khan said this. Pakistan's perverted hierarchical system of discrimination comes straight from Islamic bigotry, and has nothing to do with Vedic civilisation.
Lastly, I want to point out that although I do have my sympathies for the Kalash people and the Nuristanis (former Kafiristanis), they were not Vedic or proto-Hindu people. They were para-Vedic at most, meaning that their culture was adjacent to the formal structure of Vedic civilisation of ancient India. The Kalash and Nuristanis having worshipped Mahadeo, Indr, Imro etc. doesn't mean they were Vedic. It just means that the Indosphere or the Vedic sphere of influence was so influential that some remnants still survived in those isolated pockets. The reason why Kalash and Nuristanis cannot be called Vedic is because they do not follow Vedic of Agamic rituals unlike, say, Balinese Hindus do. They could if they were under Vedic sphere of influence again, but they're surrounded by Islamic Mlecchas and have no plausible standing anymore. Another thing I see Indians have, sadly, internalised is the European pseudo-historians claim that the Kalash and Nuristanis practice "a more ancient form of Hinduism or Vedic tradition", or an "Indo-Iranian belief system", alluding that they follow a belief system that existed before the theorised split of the Vedic and Avestan cultures. There's no proof that either Kalash or Nuristanis stayed isolated and did not evolve for 5000 years. The European Mleccha pseudo-historians theorised this because it fit into their idea of "Aryan invasion theory" (which they came up with because they couldn't believe that the brown Hindoos had such a sophisticated high culture).
