There is something to be said about a pairing that needs to have shotgun wedding and pretend to be together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When it comes to contemporary romance, there are not a lot of marriage of convenience because let's get real it is really hard to get married with a stranger.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Over the past few months I have read the following. books:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Blame it on the Champagne by Fiona Cole (KU) - This was an office romance, grumpy hero who was seeking revenge. This book kept me on edge and I loved it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Waking Up Married by Reese Ryan (forthcoming, thank you @reeseryanwrites for the ARC) this is a married in Vegas, let's make it work between best friends to lovers.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Marriage Effect by Karla Sorensen (KU) - this is football/legal guardian to his four sisters needs to get married to keep the custody. She is set to inherit 3 million dollars if she gets married. Loved it. There is a spinoff series for the sisters love story. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Temporary Wife Temptation by Jayci Lee - this is another I need to get married to keep my legal guardian custody. This book started strong but felt rushed in the end.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lush Money by Angelina M. Lopez- This is a royal/female billionaire story. This book packs up the steam and hate to lovers. This series is. fun ride.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ON MY TBR:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Work in Progress by Staci Hart- the audio is available on Hoopla⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For the Taking by Brenna Aubrey - I have read the rest of this series and I got a preview of this book and I am so happy it is already out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What is your favorite trope?
