5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

Not really? Most ships I tend to have problems with are usually due to their own merits (or lack thereof). That said, talking shit about one ship to bolster another ship isn’t something I think too highly of, especially if the former ship is one I actually like. 

I feel like that’s especially true when it comes to the LTD, especially since I don’t feel nearly as much antipathy for one of the pairings as I once did, and I might have ended up shipping it in some capacity had things gone differently. But now, the damage has been done and I cannot in good faith find it in myself to ship it.

So, I guess fandom has ruined a pairing for me? Just not one that I actively shipped.

8. Have you ever received anon hate? What about?

I received some anon hate a few years ago for expressing my opinions on the LTD. I don’t think I’ve had any since then, but I’m not too sure.

9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?

Most of the characters I dislike in FF are designed to be disliked, so in the end, it circles back around to loving-to-hate them. That’s not to say I think Square hasn’t dropped the ball when it came to some characters in particular, but not to the point where I would say I actively dislike the character.

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

I probably have quite a few. For example, I wasn’t super hyped for the remake when it was announced since I lost faith in Square-Enix long ago (and I still haven’t quite gotten it back tbr). 

Also, I’m not too fond of the compilation (though that might not be too much of an unpopular opinion since I’ve seen quite a few people who have some sort of grievance with it).

20. What is the purest ship in your fandom?

I’m not too sure what is meant by “purest.” Is it supposed to mean cutest? Sweetest? Least problematic? Idk, but I’ll try my best to figure it out.

Personally, I can think of quite a few ships that fit here. I can’t say one ship in particular sticks out though, since many of them are quite similar in some ways. That said, I might have to give this one to Laguna/Raine (probably a shock pick to some) due to both their arc and their personalities (and their family dynamic with Ellone just adds to that).

26. Most shippable character?

It’s Tifa for me since I have more ships for her than I do any other character.

27. Least shippable character?

There are a lot of characters that I don’t have ships for in the fandom. I can’t really think of one in particular, but I definitely cannot find it in myself to ship characters like Hojo, Don Corneo, or Seymour with anyone.

Have you tried Pixiv? Its a Japanese site, but I also think it has an English option. You might want to try and look into that.

my otp: Allelujah/Marie

my notp: Not big on Andrei/Louise, but it’s more neutral these days than it was in the past (though that may be because I haven’t seen the show in forever).

my other ships: Setsuna/Marina, Neil/Feldt, Saji/Louise, Lyle/Anew, Lichty/Chris, Sergei/Holly

my least favorite character: I honestly don’t really have a least fave these days, but that may be because I haven’t watched the show in forever.

my favorite season/episode: Idk why, but I liked the last few episodes of the first season for some reason.

I haven’t heard of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. I should probably add it to my to-play list.

I actually haven’t made it too far into the game (I only got as far as Marlind and haven’t touched the game in months due to my abysmal vision being abysmal), so I unfortunately won’t have as fleshed out answers as I would otherwise. But I hope I’ll be able to answer this as best I can.

the character i least understand: It was someone from Ladylake, but unfortunately, their name escapes me.

interactions i enjoyed the most: Sorey, Mikleo, and Alisha all have great interactions with each other. I also really love Lailah and Edna’s interactions, and Mikleo and Edna’s interactions a lot.

the character who scares me the most: The guy who ate Mason. I think his name was Lunarre, or something.

the character who is mostly like me: Maybe Alisha? But I do tell bad puns like Lailah.

hottest looks character: Zaveid in terms of build, but Mikleo is hella pretty.

one thing i dislike about my fave character: I don’t really have an overall fave due to the lack of progress I made in my copy. I’ll have to get back to you on that.

one thing i like about my hated character: I don’t really hate any characters. But I think there was someone in Marlind who I thought was forgiven too easily, but I think they had an understandable motivation.

a quote or scene that haunts me: Seeing all the sick people in Marlind’s church.

a death that left me indifferent: Sadly, Mason’s. Unlike other examples, it’s not a bad thing in his case, as he was pretty much designed to be a red shirt.

a character i wish died but didn’t: Can’t think of anyone
