In an au where Sonny is the girls' biological father, do you think Dr. Al would somehow find out Amanda's moved on, get jealous, and pretend that Billie is his? Idk, I just feel like if he ever came back in canon, he would get jealous that Sonny is raising his daughter, and maybe bitter that Amanda moved on. (Even if he took the breakup well, he was disappointed that Amanda didn't wanna marry him.) Idk, I just have a lot of thoughts, so sorry if this doesn't make any sense.
I think in an AU where Carisi was the girls' biological father, Al would never have even had a chance with Amanda, so he wouldn't be around at all!
And even if he had been around, I think he would have accepted that Amanda had moved on. He treated Amanda terribly, so he never gets a pass for that, but I think he took her refusal of his proposal with as much grace as could be expected in the circumstances.
