The week leading up to graduation is full of so many events! Tonight was the senior honors convocation, and Rosie was recognized to her contribution to the Diversity Club. It was fun to not only cheer for Rosie, but for her close friends, and other outstanding seniors who have accomplished so much. First day of kindergarten and last day of high school. From Grace Miller Roadrunner to Royal Oak Raven (and seven other schools in between), my amazing Rosie has worked hard, rolled with the punches with all of our cross-country moves, looked for those who were in need of a friend, tried new activities, picked herself up from disappointments, shined brightly on stage, and developed a love of learning. It’s been surreal to have Rosie be 18 and in her senior year of high school. This weekend, Rosie took her final bow on stage for Royal Oak High School Drama Club’s production of Romeo and Juliet. Drama Club has been one of Rosie’s most cherished parts of high school. But especially because of her time with Anna and Meredith, who she has been performing with since we moved to Michigan 5 years ago. Romeo and Juliet is Rosie’s 6th show at ROHS, and this year she served with Myth and Anna as a drama club officer. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to become dear friends with Anne and Mary, as we have watched our daughters excel in the performing arts.
