Things become clearer once he continues a new march forward. Long post alert: 🚨 🚨 TLDR: new 🎶 on Wednesday 🎸 Every year around this time, I get the itch to write and record. Now it’s harder than ever to find the time but if you want to do something, you do it. Over a few late nights, I was able to come up with what felt like a nice little project. The result is a 3 song conceptual EP called “Land Astronaut.” The story imagines dwelling in space, heading to a foreign world, our world, on a mission to find loved ones. Fear and doubt are opposed by purpose and love. (Cue ‘duh Duh Da DAAAAAAA’) As a musician, it’s about exploration as much as it is about enjoyment of the process from start to finish. Every part of this record was a journey... from creating the framework of the story to coordinating hand + foot to play drums. I want to be as professional as DIY can be 🔩🔨 Hence this post highlighting the artwork for each track. I do my own graphics with PowerPoint. Clearly not ideal for creating album art, but making the most of what Is available to me...It’s not earth shattering but I really had fun creating a theme for the EP while keeping a clean, minimalist feel that suits the music direction as well. There’s no more album artwork these days and that was always one of things I loved as a kid. If you read this far, why? 🧠 Expect a few more posts.
