Okay, people who know computers better than me (which is a lot of you, I imagine.)
I’m trying to install Ubuntu 14.04 onto an old Sony VAIO AR630e. It got stuck at the “Do you want to erase Windows” screen, with a grayed out continue button. I looked at the log, and it says there’s a “Buffer I/O error on device sdb2, logical block 117.”. What do y'all think? Do I need a new hard drive, or is this something else?

The Tamora Pierce books are always good. Also Wizard of Earthsea, So You Want To Be A Wizard, Redwall, Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about Tamora Pierce, but I thought her books were more in the young adult area. I haven’t read any of her books yet, though, so I only know what I’ve been told.
Ary's kindness outweighs her cruelty in my eyes. Not everyone's gonna see it that way, but that's life and that's relationships. I don't reject her chaotic or even her evil nature because...fuck it, she's always been nice to me and honest with me. Isn't that enough?
