Because I still use an email account that I've had since high school, I have an old label that, alphabetically, is at the top whenever I want to label anything. It was for the email correspondence I had with the writer of a classic rock blog back in 2002-2007. We did some additional checking in with each other up until 2010/2011 but I only ever had her email for the website (now archived on the wayback machine) through a defunct domain service and her work email from 2010-ish.
I thought about her tonight and how she was my age when I started emailing her. She was super influential on opening up my thoughts on music.
Though I know her name and the city she lived in, I have no idea how to track her down now. Her name is very generic so LinkedIn hasn't been helpful.
