After seeing so much of the world (and beyond), do Robyn and Y’shtola have a favorite place to visit together?
Is it too cliché to say the next new place? It is so much the joy of discovery for them, especially when they get the chance to both see something new for the first time together.
But for visiting, I think it revolves around people more than places. Y'shtola may not be the social butterfly Robyn is, but they both have friends scatters all over the world that they like to check in on. Y'shtola's contacts in Limsa, Robyn's friends in Ul'dah. Both of their sisters near Gridania. From Doma to Tuliyollal there are so many people to catch up with. (though i don't think they visit Garlemald unless they have to)
If there was one city they would visit just for the sake of it, it would probably be Radz-at-Han, for the food and the atmosphere.
As far as the place they return to the most, it is probably to visit Matoya. A bit more quiet and secluded, a bit more time to themselves.
It gives them time to share their latest findings and stories with her, and bounce new ideas off her experience and knowledge. And because Robyn is much more exuberant in her affection for the older woman, which ruffles her feathers in a way that delights Shtola.
Also, because there is so much knowledge still there that is very quickly being forgotten and lost. Knowledge and places that was not available to Shtola when she was a child. So when they do have downtime, and don’t have a pressing question to research, they enjoy visiting the antitower, the libraries or the arboretum. There are plenty of traps or monsters to provide enrichment for Robyn while Shtola digs into whatever perks her interest at the time.
