Landing on a planet and finding plant people as inhabitants, who are just so happy to see someone from another world! Especially one plant girl who just absolutely fascinated by you!
However, you are a brave engineer sent to start the industrialization of this planet, but you try to make sure you stay out of the planet people ways. Yes you were given permission to be hostile, but they are just to nice to hurt. So you build the factories away from them, hopefully far enough to prevent any damage. Though, they really like to get close and see all the amazing things you're building!
Except, seems them reflect the world. You start to notice metal growing on them, circuits, lights, almost like they're being robotized. As the factory grows, they grow. Soft amber eyes replaced by red glowing eyes. The once colorful and beautiful clothes of plants, leaves, and fibers replaced by hard metallic armor, rubber skirts, and plastic straps to hold them together. Bodies that once felt like touching a plants stem, with hair that felt like you were smelling and touching a flower, turned into almost silicon feeling, a poke or cut revealing wires, metal bones, and hydrolic fluids and oil. The once soft beating of a heartbeat replaced by pumps, flowing liquids throughout the body.
Their homes replaced with charging bays and refil stations. They did as the factory command, and helped build more, and more. Spreading more with out your command.
Large fruits and flowers that once birthed them replaced with gestation pods, to hold and grow what little organics they had left, before they were assimilated into the machine, turned into just another robot at your command, waiting to spread the factory
And that plant girl that was so intrigued with you? See accept it all so quickly, at first she was scared, but once she became robotized enough, fear turn to excitement. Excitement turned to experimentation. While others became almost copied of one another, humaniod robots of steel, all be it some with large "reserve tanks" (a gift from the company or their own design, you can't tell). She was constantly changing things about her self. One day she would be a chassis of spider legs, climbing on celling, descending from artificial silk to grab you and kiss you. Another a soft but slimy and long snake tail, to wrap you up and "thank" you. She was accessing the knowledge banks a little too much, when she turned into a dragon was the scariest, a big robotic dragon.
But after a year or so, the plant was fully automated, ready for shipment of materials. Hundreds of thosusnads of robotic drones cover the land, with their own towns and cities, all with the goal to spread more.
You meanwhile, have another assignment, to do it all over again. But at least you'll have help, as your robot girl is joining you, as management believes she'll be a vital resource to furthering industrialization
Well, enjoy the next week or so before your next assignment starts, you got hundreds of robots who just want to have some fun before you leave, and also, wanting to test out alot of the new chassis and accessories your robot girl assistant has made!
