United 3-2 City, Dec 9 2012. First United match my parents let me stay up to watch, and van Persie’s winner was a stunner. 

9-First football memory?It was a school trip to Malaysia, and we were put in different rooms. It was near midnight and I was on the phone talking to a friend in another room (I was eleven, I was lame that way XD). I was already in bed but my friend was watching TV and it was a United game on and she was narrating the game to me. I’d never watched football because I didn’t have cable at home (still don’t :c) but somehow I could play the game right in my head exactly as she told it, and it was beautiful, and everything sounded so vivid and amazing. It was so lovely that I stayed right awake, and I usually slept at nine. Finally I got out of bed and dared to switch on the TV but the match had ended. That was my first experience with football and while I forgot about football for a few years after that, I think it was always lurking and finally manifested itself, and I’ll never forget that.

10-What was the best goal in your opinion?GURK there are so many amazing goals that I could talk about. I’m especially fond of long-range goals and volleys so most of Scholesy’s goals are right up there! But the best goal? I’d say Roberto Carlos’s against Tenerife here. My parents are huge Carlos fans so I’m probably biased, but it was an amazing amazing angle. United wise, I’d say Beckham’s against Wimbledon. 

23-How many stadiums have you been to? What stadiums are?Just two. One of them is Jalan Besar Stadium, the home ground of my national team. The second is Old Trafford, which was amazing, although we only arrived at six and the tour was over so we couldn’t go in and I threw a tantrum after that XD

30-What does football mean for you?It’s difficult to describe what football means to me. It’s the thing I look forward to day after day, the thing that makes me happy, the thing I go back to when I’m depressed, because watching old football videos always cheers me up. It’s the only thing I’ve ever screamed for, laughed at, cried for with happiness and sadness, all at the same time. It’s what puts a smile on my face, builds up hope and crushes it, makes me swear with anger and sob with frustration. I love football because when you watch football you are a part of it; it sucks you into the game like nothing else does, it makes you a part of the team. Do you refer to any other sport by ‘we’? I don’t, but when in football I always say ‘we’, because we are united as a team and as fans and as a family. I can’t really describe it, but I’m sure that everyone who’s ever watched football, who’s ever stood in front of their team saying that silent prayer, who’s erupted with joy at that last minute goal (and we are of course famous for this), who’s sunken into despair because of that last minute goal, everyone knows what it means to them. Football means to feel. Football means to live.

10. Do you think your life will change dramatically before 2014?

Yes, right before - A Levels end at the end of November, which means I will finally have a true month of holiday without having to study at all! I haven’t had one of those since four years ago XD

13. Are you good at hiding your feelings?

Depends on what feelings. I have a lot of practice at pretending with normal feelings, but I’m not very good at hiding my disappointment with football matches. I’ll just sulk the entire day :\

34. If you had to delete one year of your life completely, which would it be?

This year; then I wouldn’t have to mug my butt off for the A Levels which is the bane of my existence.

47. Do you replay things that have happened in your head?

All the time XD I always think of my mistakes. I don’t know why, but I just can’t forget them.50. Don’t tell me lies, is the last person you texted attractive?

The last person I texted was my…history teacher ._. But yeahh, he is pretty good looking XD
