In a world where, after Mary’s passing, John instead buys a ranch, which he eventually moves from, instead buying a rundown ranch and orchid in the small town; Nehalem, Oregon.
It’s 2001 and it’s Sam Winchester’s senior year in high school. Him and his brother, Dean, has to, after many years of isolation from a proper community, penetrate the small towns existing routines. Sam juggles the turbulence of high school, and has to figure out just how close you can allow someone to get without scaring them away.
Dean has to be taught the ropes of a colder, rockier ranch compared to his beloved ranch back “home” in Lawrence, and his tainted fantasy of the pastors daughter is crushed under that very girl’s boot.
John is still parenting two sons that he never really got to know. He’s suddenly having to step extra carefully around two girls who, like a pest, infiltrates his family life, calling him out on his questionable relation with his sons.
