Gemüse coughed.

He was dazed, and he’d probably be bruised into next week, but he was, for the most part, alright.  

He blinked blearily at the sky above; at the light filtering through the dust floating about, before he realized--despite seeing sky above, the scene to either side of him was, decidedly, not outside.  

Did--

Either that was one flimsy roof, or his body had exhausted most of his magic to absorb the hit.  But--yikes, to be spiked that hard?  Where was he, anyways?  Was he even still in the states?

Better yet, whose house was this?

“Tch. Pathetic.”

Veronica wiped the blood from her lips. She typically refrained from feeding on others, given that it was too troublesome sometimes. All things considered though, given the other had kept catcalling her and eventually followed her into an alleyway, she couldn’t be blamed. Especially when he put a hand on her waist. After that, she hadn’t felt bad about draining him dry. 

--It’s a rather incriminating sight: to be caught alongside such a gruesome scene, rain pelting down from the neon skies (lit up with signs and lightning), and looking just oh so innocent.  How could a little middle school girl have caused such a horrific accident? Even if she should be panicking, yelling, calling the authorities...She has nothing to do with this. Probably.

What helps is the lack of blood on her--Not because she missed the blast radius, but because there seems to be no body at all: just a highly damaged motorcycle crunched up against the building. As if it were driving itself.
