After finally watching #RoadToPerdition from 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣2️⃣, one of the first things I noticed in the opening credits (aside from the stellar cast) was that @tylerhoechlin played Michael Sullivan, Jr. 👀 I don't think director #SamMendes, #TomHanks, #DanielCraig, #JudeLaw, or any of the people involved had any idea he'd grow up to play Superman. 🤯I'm obviously very late to the party, but this tale of mobsters, revenge, and fathers and sons set in 1931 was the final live action film for the great #PaulNewman. 😔 Craig was four years away from being 007 but already showing how versatile an actor he would become. Road to Perdition. Быстрый обзор. Добрый семьянин Том Хэнкс, совмещающий работу на мафию с хорошим отсовством, в итоге сам попадает под прицел из-за психопата-напарника и сына босса - Дэниела Крейга. За ним и его смышлёным сынишкой начинает вести охоту другой психопат - Джуд Лоу. Хэнкс врубает режим берсеркера. Потому что он очень хорош. Странноватая смесь ванильной семейной трагидрамы и гангстерского боевика. Трагидрамы намного больше. Сэм Мэндес видимо ещё не отошёл от Красоты по Американски и перетащил атмосферу в фильм про мафию. Музыку делает всё тот же Томас Ньюман. И она звучит в фильме местами не к месту. Интересный эксперимент, но мне по душе более классические трактовки историй такого плана. Оскар за лучшую операторскую работу.
