What are some RO types that you never see in IFs but that you’d love to?

firm believer in the idea that there can never be enough milfs/dilfs/gilfs* in IFs!!!

For the Ro question, more POC nonbinary people that are feminine and soft. Dark skinned POC men that are feminine, small(and tall of course, just rare to see short poc characters) and soft. Same goes for POC women. Basically think of the soft femininity that is given to "androgynous" white men and of course white women by default in media and that is continously denied from POC folk. I know this is not a very chill answer, but as a afab POC person who identifies as nonbinary, I have been denied femininity and softness my whole life and the same thing happens to all especially dark skinned POC. We are seen as durable, capable of taking abuse and hyper masculine by the world and showcased as such in media. A lot of the time POC women and especially men are shown as very dominant, animalistic, often towards a white person or just a light skinned person. The world sees darkness as domineering towards light, and this gets very sexualized through poc characters and it's very upsetting, especially when the soft and feminine counterpart is almost nonexistent to combat it. If we have a soft POC character they're ALWAYS the best friend, I actually still notice this happening in If's all the time and I know it's not done maliciously, but that doesn't mean it's not damaging. Where are our POC Galadriels, sensitive and soft love interests that sometimes get to be protected, the sarcastic villains that are not domineering but get a redemption arc and get shown their vulnerable side and so many more? Usually you only see diversity personality wise in stories made by POC people in a POC focused story. I'm sorry this got long, I just have a lot of thoughts and feelings about this.

In terms of ROs that I never see in IF but I want to, I desperately want some more ROs who just look like people. Like I totally understand that ROs are kind of there to fulfill people's romantic fantasies, but every RO being super tall with a 6 pack and perfectly clear skin doesn't fulfill some fantasy for me, it just makes me feel inadequate and unlovable in comparison (love being a 5'4" fat adult man with acne 😔). I also would love more aro characters who are nice people and get their own dedicated relationship routes that aren't romantic. There's very few aro characters in general and when they exist, they either take a backseat to other characters because they just aren't rated as important due to not experiencing romantic attraction or they're really fucked up bad people which doesn't make me feel great as an arospec person.

Personally I want to see more kind ROs that are ALSO the strongest out of all in the group, I see nice ROs pretty often lately (which I'm definitely happy about let's be honest) but usually the strongest fight wise is the grumpy and edgy one and I'm a bit tired of that ngl let the nice ROs throw hands properly when they need to too ok 😩

Depending on the age of the MC - they'd really have to be at least 25+ for this - but I wish there were more RO's in their 40's or 50's. I don't mean, like, a vampire or something that is older but LOOKS younger. RO's that look older and are actually older. Nothing wrong with wrinkles. :)

For the RO asks: we desperately need more Amazonian ROs. Come on, give me a woman that could bench press me.

might sound really weird, but ROs that did really shitty personal things! not like the Big Bad I'm-the-villain-of-the-story ROs, I'm talking the personally repulsive stuff I see people actually taking issue with in their IF ROs - like cheating on you, betraying you, manipulating you, screwing you over, lying about really important aspects of their life... etc. that still aren't morally black. drums up interest in me immediately 😂 and I still don't want to see anything especially dark, or super angsty, or really unhealthy, I mean I just think the complicated bad feelings are interesting?? Just want some rawness
