I JUST FINISHED LISTENING TO IT AND OH MY GOD. HOLY FREAK. GOOD LORD. ITS SUCH A BANGER ALBUM!!!
It gives off such heavy summer/fall vibes, genuinely the perfect time to release it 😭 (the weather outside today feels like this album rn its so perfectly alligned)
As with all albums, it takes a few listens to figure out my favorite songs, but for me at the first listen, it has gotta be Cujo and Lone Acacia, but I can definitely feel most of the songs begin to grow on me :) by the end of the day, I'm prolly gonna fully love Blackrock and Sabino (some songs take two listens to love for me, and these two are definitely that type) and ill prolly have memorized the lyrics to the first two lmao 😭
As for the guitar? 10/10. Its so scrumptious. I wish the music was edible 😔 /silly. seriously, I am so hyped to learn these songs on guitar, and anyone who releases a guitar tab for my favorites, I will be so grateful to them /gen

Overall?? AMAZING ALBUM, HIGHLY RECCOMEND 💥 The music is just so comforting, and Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners' is an incredible band who consistantly creates absolute bangers :D

Random symbolism in “Reminds me of Childhood Memories” Part One :)
The Flowers in The Curse of The Kennedys Chapter One are chrysanthemums.
the chrysanthemums in the story are orange in colour which is a reference to the box Jason used to get his mothers cigarettes in - hence why he hates orange. chrysanthemums are a flower used in some cultures to celebrate motherhood.
Also, chrysanthemums in some cultures are a flower representing mourning and grief commonly used for funerals while in others they are symbols of joy and love. This is a little fun dig at Wally as he has chosen something that Dick but no one else deems inappropriate. Chrysanthemums are also a “filler flower” used to fill out bouquets which is another subtle reference to wally seeing jason fill in for dick as robin.
the word chrysanthemums is derived from ancient greek “chyros” meaning gold. which is another colour theme i’ve used in the book to associate with Dick being the Golden and first son. Dick rejecting the flowers was him rejecting his position as the first son and as the first in a legacy out of respect and grief for Jason’s loss - he’s in denial about Jason’s death and refuses to move on.
And FINALLY, chrysanthemums begin blooming in October/November which is where the timeline of the story begins. They are out of season when Jason dies in April which is my silly way of making a subtle reference to Jason dying too soon.
