It wasn’t any secret that Rogue had been busy. She had been burning the candle at both ends running between being an X-Men and -- when she had time -- a wife. Remy had never asked her to put their marriage first, and while she did love that he respected her responsibilities Rogue knew that she could do well with being more present. That was why she was standing in a smoke filled kitchen with a look of annoyance on her face. If there were a few things Rogue could do, it was prepare a good home cooked Southern meal. She knew her way around collard greens and she did not burn them. What the hell was her problem, then? It took her a few minutes to clear the Treenhouse air of smoke and get everything back in order. Hearing footsteps, she turned with a smile following shortly after.
“Hey, sugah. Ah thought Betsy would be keepin’ ya out later.”
