Shannon had been a princess born into an empire of a kingdom. The world was her’s, she could have anything she wanted, do anything she wanted, say whatever she wanted to and there were never any consequences. While this was a blessing at first, it soon became a curse as she realized it wasn’t her status that gave her these privileges, but that her parents, the king and queen, simply didn’t care about her or her actions. This palace of her’s was quite lonely day in and day out. 

That is until her fellow princess came to play.

Naeun was one of the few who was able to bring Shannon genuine joy. Shannon truly felt like a princess whenever she was around the other girl, and she did her best to make Naeun feel the same. She loved Naeun, every bit of her. That girl was truly Shannon’s world, and so when she came in the door Shannon was quick to leap from the couch and run over to her, throwing her arms around her.

“My princess! I missed you so much!” Her eyes creased as a bright smile took over her face and her arms squeezed tightly around the other. A blush dusted over her cheeks upon feeling the other’s slim frame in her arms, and it has her feeling nervous and giddy at the same time. She had slowly realized her affections were becoming more than a friendly or even a sisterly love, it was something more, and she wasn’t letting go just yet.

"So…that’s that."  Taeyeon said, throwing her hands up in exasperation over the story that she had just conveyed to Piper. The two had grown quite close over the time that they had lived together, and Taeyeon felt like she could tell the younger girl anything.  Piper knew, for example, about Taeyeon’s peanut allergy.  And oh, the fact that she liked girls.  Their current discussion was how Taeyeon had found out that the current object of her desire was not only taken, but also straight.

"I never stood a chance, you know?"  she sighed, running a hand through her hair.  "I’m almost twenty, Piper. I haven’t even had my first kiss yet. Something’s wrong with me, isn’t there?"  she hugged her knees up to her chest, obviously feeling sorry for herself over the whole ordeal.  

"Unnie…" Piper frowned, scooting closer to the older girl, putting an arm around her shoulders.  "There is absolutely nothing wrong with you." 

"You’re just saying that because you’re Piper and you’re sweet." she replied, hiding her face in her arms.

"I’m not just saying that.  I’ll prove it to you." Piper took a deep breath, nodding with resolve.  

"How would you do that?" Taeyeon squeaked out in a tiny voice.

"Kiss me."

"W-What?"  Taeyeon lifted her head, sure she misheard her roommate.

"Kiss me, unnie.  I’ll show you there’s nothing wrong with you."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. Let’s do this!" Piper was obviously worked up about it, mostly so she didn’t lose her courage and back out.  She wasn’t really into girls, but if it would help Taeyeon, she’d at least be into one girl, for at least one kiss.

Taeyeon nervously leaned in, pressing her lips to the younger girl’s, and Piper responded in kind, kissing her back.  It was sweet, gentle, and did a lot to quell Taeyeon’s fears, getting her worries out in the kiss.
