hello!! omg okay so this will be a bit long but basically in 2018 during their Interactive Introverts tour, I had an m&g with Dan and Phil and at that time the rules for m&g were that you could only get one item signed (idk how strict it was across all the shows but I knew about this rule before my show) but I wanted to get my pride flag signed (extra backstory is that phandom helped me a lot with finding community and accepting myself when I was struggling with my sexuality) BUT my parents (who I am not out to) knew I was getting something signed so I asked DnP to sign both my flag (for me) and my ticket (to show my parents). they were very very sweet and signed both and Dan very famously said "one day" in reference to me getting to show the pride flag to my parents. afterwards I sobbed about it and posted it and the posts kinda popped off. the original post(s) about it are here here and here. the post with the flag and ticket picture went what I call "semi-viral" since I saw lots of people referencing and screenshotting/sharing the post even outside of tumblr and phandom. it was very wild for me lol but it was a very sweet moment in general so I get it and keep in mind this was before they were even out as gay.. then they eventually come out of the closet and for me at least it felt like they got to have their own "one day"s ya know, so when they went on tour again in 2024 for Terrible Influence and I got m&g again, I told them about what that original meeting meant to me and how I was happy for them!! I made an updated post here. it was another very sweet moment for me and I got them to write "one day" for me and I did eventually get it tattooed on my thigh which I will add under a read more. but yes it's literally just based on my m&g but it resonated with a lot of people so it's kinda well known :')
