Fools | Cameron, River, & Aiden
He didn’t know what he was trying to prove. Inviting Aiden to meet his newest interest was a recipe for disaster, but Aiden always got the guys Cameron wanted. Usually, Aiden used them for a night and left them moping around staring at him. Cameron could get anyone he wanted, but once Aiden had his fun, they wanted nothing to do with Cameron. It was Cameron’s turn to have the upper hand in something. Finally.
Aiden slid into Cameron’s front seat and sighed. “Where are you taking me again?” Aiden was wearing a smirk, completely amused with himself. Cameron shook his head; his brother was a huge part of his life, and he was absolutely ridiculous. They were both similar, but so very different at the same time. He always was a little more on the edgy side, while Cameron took the preppier side.
“Aide, I really like this guy. Be on your best behavior.” Cameron warned, giving Aiden the stare he often did.
Aiden lifted his hands in surrender. “I’ve never messed anything of yours up before, have I?”
When Cameron didn’t respond right away, he lifted his eyebrows toward his twin. His voice was a little tighter. “I know I haven’t.”
Cameron growled to himself. Aiden was right. He hadn’t intentionally messed anything up; he just had every eligible person Cameron wanted to court. It was whatever.
The drive was silent from then on, both in their heads. Cameron pulled up to the place River had given him with ten minutes to spare. “Ready for a beer?”
Aiden wore a lopsided grin, “Always.”
The lights went down and Cameron chugged back the rest of his beer in fear of Aiden’s response to the surprise. The crowd closed in, and the boys held their place at the front of the stage. They could touch the mic if they wanted to. River would see both of them immediately. He looked over to his brother as River walked onto the stage and introduced himself. Aiden’s jaw became stiff, and he became red from his neck to his cheek bones. He suddenly realized that not only Aiden would be awkward, but what if River decided after all the kissing and hand-holding they had shared, he still wanted Aiden most. Cameron looked away a moment, and when he turned back, Aiden was staring at him. Glaring, actually.
