With the tour making itās way through the United States, many idols who grew up in North America are starting to have deja vu, and while some lived there long enough to experience things regular teens and people would, most idols started training in South Korea at a very young age, missing out on things like prom, graduation, and other rites of passage in the USA.
With that in mind, Lance Kim (with the begrudging support of KBS, MNet, and the Vagabond tour manager) has decided to throw a prom during one of the nights in Los Angeles, to give the missed experience to all the American idols who missed out, and to let idols from elsewhere enjoy it too.Ā
Lance Prom will take place on December 15th-- another post will be released on that day giving more information.

Itās finally time to kick off Idol Project 2! EpisodeOone will mainly focus around introducing each trainee to the viewers, watching them settle into their dorm, and getting a feel for their personalities. Each companyās trainees will put on a performance, as sort of an introduction to the skill each company has to offer.
TASKS
To earn points for your trainee, please complete the following tasks. These are not mandatory, and can be done at any time and still be counted.
Weekly Confessional: post an interview or confessional about how your character feels about finally being here, and moving into the dorm.*
Drabble: Write a short drabble (IC or OOC) about your traineeās audition, or auditions if they had to go through multiple. How they were feeling, how they were received, if they felt prepared enough ect.
Threads: threads to do with the show can earn you points too. Para threads (200+ words) are worth more points than gif chats and one liners. Threads played out to their completion are worth even more points too; if you finish a thread, submit the link to the last post to the Idol Project blog.
Self Paras: self-paras to do with the show (ie practicing, dorm life, self reflection, performances, calls home) can also earn you points. These can be done as often as youād like as long as you provide some variety in the content.
Weekly Challenge: Each company has prepared a performance for the first episode. Songs were picked by their CEOs, and they had to figure out the details on their own. Write a short para (IC or OOC) about your characterās reaction to all of thisā be it just the practice, or the performance as well.*
Tasks can be completed at any time. Episode-specific tasks are indicated with a little ā*ā above, so when you complete them (even if you end up doing it in a few weeks or something), be sure to mark it as āEPISODE ONEā, be it as a title or in the info before your self para or something like that. Any completed tasks and challenges can be tagged ārivalsipdoneā
WEEKLY PERFORMANCE
For this weekās performance, as stated above, each companyās trainees will perform as a unit, showcasing what that company has to offer. The CEOs picked the songs, and after that it was up to the trainees to learn the choreography and the lines. The performances are as follows:
ALPHA RECORDSās trainees will be performing Helixās āVoodoo Dollā
DS MEDIAās trainees will be performing Geminiās āLast Romeoā
NEW WAVE MUSICās trainees will be performing NuāEstās āActionā
RADIOACTIVE ENTERTAINMENTās trainees will be performing Legacyās āWar of Hormoneā
SPOTLIGHT PRODUCTIONSās trainees will be performing B.O.Wās āSherlockā
WEEKLY VOTE
This is for the entire roleplay, not just the trainees! VOTE HERE for your favorites! It will be noted that the popularity vote results affect the ranking very little. The vote is just for fun.
The weekly ranking will be posted on January 14th, and a summary of episode one will be posted on January 16th.
BREAKING:
KBS And MNet Announce Global Tour Featuring Kpopās Biggest Stars
Itās no secret that Kpop is an international phenomenon, with fans everywhere from Japan, to Brazil, to the USA and back, though itās a rare occasion when international fans can see their favorite groups perform-- very few groups are graced with world tours, and those that are donāt get them very often, but KBS and MNet plan on bringing the music to you with their next big project; their most ambitious project yet. Teaming up together, also with Radioactive Entertainment, Spotlight Productions, DS Media, Alpha Records, 360 Studios and Gaia International, the companies are set to embark on a world tour, featuring artists from all six companies.Ā
Featuring stops in nearly 50 cities, across 27 countries, groups and soloists alike will travel together in a world tour, performing in day-long festivals at each stop. Itās been said that there will even be special performances-- trainee performances, collaborations, debuts and more!
The Vagabond Tour is set to begin on September 28th in Seoul, with all the artists involved releasing new songs just for the tour in the days beforehand. The festival will include meet & greets for lucky VIP fans with all their favorite groups. Models and Actors will act as hosts and entertainers too, and MNet has confirmed that VagabondTV will air on their channel, featuring highlights from the festivals throughout.Ā
More information will be released as Dispatch finds it, but the tour dates have been revealed-- tickets are now on sale!
The Vagabond International Kpop Festival will be a four month long event. It is incredibly ambitious, and none of the admins have ever tried anything like this before, so please bear with us-- things may need to be tweaked along the way, and weāll do our best to make things as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved.
The premise of the event is that all the acts under all six companies have signed on for a world tour across 27 countries, though since there are so many groups and artists, instead of concerts, each event will be a day-long music festival. Each act will perform a few times throughout the day at the main stage. There will be food stands and meet & greet stations as well, along with backstage areas for the artists who are not performing to relax, mingle, and enjoy themselves.Ā
Fusion will come along and act as backup dancers for all of the groups, along with trainees from all companies. Trainees who cannot dance will still be brought along solely to spectate, as a learning experience. They will more or less act as interns, and will help get staff and idols what they need.
Unpretty will continue. It will be canon that all episodes except the finale were filmed in Seoul before the tour, and the finale will be live on one of the tour dates-- which date will soon be announced.Ā
Every day, the admin team will post an update on the Official Vagabond Tour Page, informing everyone on what kind of day it is (Travel, Performance or Sightseeing), which city/country they are in, and any other special announcements or additions.Ā
Staff will come along on the tour as well-- their positions will be altered slightly to fit the needs of the tour. If you are the mun of a staff member and would like to know what your character will be doing, please message the main. If your character is a staff member along with being a soloist, they will only be performing.
Actors and models will act as MCs, get to do their own meet and greets, and perform plays and scenes if they so choose.Ā
Eternityās monthly releases will still happen as scheduled. The girls who have not yet been announced will not perform, but will go along with their group for moral support, and as more girls are announced, more of them will perform their solo songs at the festivals.Ā
Aside from a few special cases, new releases will not happen while the tour is going on.Ā
As for lodgings, the KBS/MNet staff will have rented out multiple floors of hotels for all of the artists and crew. For the most part, people from the same company will stay together.
Docking Station will be put on hold until the end of the tour.
While Frontier will perform together, Unity will also perform together for this tour, despite their disbandment.Ā
We hope that everyone enjoys the event, and that everyone is as excited as we are. If you have any questions at all about the tour and how it will go down, please direct those questions to the VagabondĀ page; it is likely that other people have the same questions, so please send them our way and weāll do our best to answer them. We ask you to send them to this page so we have a running tab of all questions for anyone who wants to catch up. Love you guys! Hope you have fun!

When it comes to lodgings for the tour, MNet and KBS have rented out whole floors and various sizes/types of rooms to house everyone involved-- for the purposes of this event and the RP, weāre going to assume that fans and Dispatch have no contact with the lodgings and no way of knowing what happens inside. On that note, if you have suggestions/requests as for who your characters will room with/stay with, please send those into the Vagabond Page-- be those ships, friends, group members etc. You have until Sunday the 24th to submit your requests; any character that has no request after that will be assigned a room by the admins.
The admin team would very much like to thank everyone who filled out the little survey we posted a few days ago; it was very informative and helpful to receive your feedback, and weāre happy the tour is being received relatively positively thus far! If ever you have questions, concerns, or comments regarding the event, please do not hesitate to send them to the vagabond blog-- on or off anon.
One of the most common comments we got was with problems with time constraints; many people felt that there wasnāt enough time every day to do threads and keep up, and while we understand that, we cannot stretch out any of the days-- as it is the tour is four months long, and not only is it a huge time commitment to the admins (one that weāre not sure we can keep up beyond that), but we also donāt want to burden those who may not be enjoying the event. On that note, though, please do not feel as though you are restricted to doing threads in real time or relatively close do the date! If you see a special stage you are interested in doing a thread in, or would like to explore your character in a specific city, we encourage you to do threads and post starters and roleplay in past locations if you so desire! Just be sure to mark it clearly in the tags somewhere so those who are reading understand that the thread is happening elsewhere and in the past.
Weāre doing our best to add variety and change things up with the daily posts, and we hope everyone is liking things so far!
With Idol Project 3 slowly drawing to a close, itās time for the last challenge. Before we outline that, though, we would like to thank everyone who invested so much time, effort, and interest into this task and made it so successful. It would not have existed without you guys wanting it too, so thank you.
On that note, the Idol project Finale Summary will be posted on September 18th, with the line up of the final group-- Syndicate-- being posted periodically throughout the day before the summary is posted. Syndicate will debut on September 19th.
The results as they stand are not final. If you wish to go back and do write ups of challenges or drabbles you missed in past episodes to earn points, you are totally allowed to do that! Those points will be recorded until Semptember 17th, which is also the deadline to finish the challenge as well.
This weeks challenge? One final confessional from your trainee, talking about their whole experience. What the show was like, the friendships they made, the rivalries. The stages they put on, the songs they released. Their hopes for the finale, their hopes for the future-- everything.
We look forward to seeing the final challenges, and will see you in a few days for the finale!
