“ motherfucker -- ” emilie’s hauling ass towards the elevator that’s rapidly closing. her sunglasses, wide and dramatic, already sit on the bridge of her nose, her giant bag nearly falling off her shoulder. she’s clearly running late, which isn’t an unusual situation for the woman to be in. she thinks she’s certainly going to be extra late now, with the elevator closing, but she’s pleased to see a foot stick out to stop the doors from shutting, opening once more for emilie to step through. she looks at her savior with a small and embarrassed smile, nodding her head at them. “ god, you’re a lifesaver. i would’ve been totally screwed if you didn’t catch that. ” she peers down at her phone, unable to believe her eyes. meeting cancelled.
