WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEAVE BEHIND IN THE WORLD THROUGH YOUR ART?⁣ My work as an artist has always been to speak about the places I occupy, and especially about the issues and difficulties I experienced in my childhood and adolescence. So, I think it would be very gratifying to know that my voice as a gay artist is remembered even more than my aesthetic. The male body, and largely the black body, accompanied by our sexuality, is the basis of my artistic voice. Technique is important to some extent, but what lies behind it, is what makes my work powerful. I hope that my message will be remembered and discussed in a healthy way."
