Last Rise pic. I can't wait to get some more photos of my cosplays so I have actual content, but I've been pretty busy figuring things out and realizing a lot about myself. Forcing myself to confront my problems and find my passion. That's why I relate to and admire Rise so much. I really love Rise's development. I may not be able to have my development all at one time like the protagonists of the Persona games, but I am developing. Slowly, but surely I'll become a person who is truthful with myself and allow myself to truly enjoy things without fear. #cosplay #cosplayer #persona4arena #persona4arenaultimax #persona4 #persona4golden #p4 #risechan #risekujikawa #persona4rise #risette

/Christmas eve had come and gone, Rise had spent it at her Auntâs house. It was very fun, there was presents, food and of course spending time with her family who loved her. Rise was home now, on the afternoon of Christmas day. She insisted on going back before her grandmother who wanted to stay another day.
Iâd love to stay longer Auntie but I really have something important to do.
/Thats what she told her, Riseâs Aunt looked suspicious but she did not ask exactly why. Rise was glad for that.
Rise I swear you hide too many secrets from people who care about you.
/Rise sighed at Kanzeon bothering her again, she pulled on her coat. Next to her were a group of red flowers. Roses, poppies, and her favorite pansies.
I donât want people to worry about me, Auntie has enough to deal with her healthâŚbesides Iâm fine.
And what about Naoto-san hm?
W-What?! Naoto-kun has nothing to do with this!
/She could hear Kanzeon giggling.
Whats so funny?
Nothing dear. Oh, we better get going before it gets too cold out. Those flowers wonât last too long.
Oh. RightâŚhmpf. Weâll argue about this later then.
/Rise buttoned up her coat and picked up the flowers. Outside it was snowing lightly.
Heh its a white christmas isnât it Shinji?
/She made her way to the train station catching the first train to Port Island. Rise sat in the train with the flowers in her lap.
I hope no one recognizes meâŚ.not sure how I would explain myself.
/The time passed with Rise thinking about her lost love. She wished she was going to visit someone living not dead. That instead she had a present for him and he would give flowers to her. Rise felt her heart grow heaver.
Ugh I should not get sad nowâŚIâll totally attract attention if I cryâŚ
The next stop is Iwatodi. Repeat the next stop isâŚ.
Oh thats me! Gotta get off soon!
Christmas had never been a day Naoto pay any mind to. Grampa had tried to celebrate it when she was still young but nowadays, their respective caseload has made such celebration highly unlikely.
Naoto is fine with such arrangements, as she continue to tell herself each year while mostly spending the day traveling from locations to locations, going wherever a case requires her attention. Trains, bus, even in a privately hired car, Naoto feels alone.
But this year had been different. This year, she had nowhere else to go and that made the loneliness feels worse than ever before.
It certainly didnât help that she had that particular dream again, robbing her night of peaceful rest. Tired and feeling the cold grip of being alone in her small apartment, Naoto decide that staying indoor isnât going to improve her mood.
So she put on a thick winter coat and make her way towards the train station. As she walk through the street, it proves to be of no help. Everywhere is empty, everyone staying inside with their family.
Sighing, she briefly debated about seeking out her friends -Rise coming to mind first, for reasons Naoto isnât sure of- but⌠they are most likely with family on this day, it would be wrong of her to intrude.
As she stood in the train station, debating on her destination, she spot someone familiar from the corner of her eye. She can recognize that signature twin tails anywhere now. Half of her wants to run up and talk to Rise and let the loneliness evaporate. The other half, that ultimately won out, notice the flowers and the sobering look in her eyes.
Deciding to follow for now, Naoto asks for a ticket to the same destination -Port Island?- and took a seat in the cart next to the one Rise sat in. She kept an eye on the former idol as the train made itâs way towards Iwatodi.
Just where is Rise goingâŚ
/The train stopped and Rise stepped off keeping a tight hold of the flowers.
Alright, here I come Shinji.
/The snow continued to fall as Rise made her way to the graveyard. The nice thing about a city was that one could make their way without recognition which was good for the ex-idol, this made Rise relax her guard. Because of this she did not notice that a certain detective was following her.
/Kanzeon on the other hand did notice, even outside of the tv she knew when other persona users were around. The persona decided not to say anything however. She knew that Rise would have to tell Naoto about Shinjiro sooner or later. She sighed.
Hm? What is it Kanzeon?
Nothing dear, oh look we have arrived.
/Rise paused at the entrance to the graveyard.
WellâŚhere I am again.
/She knew the way to the grave very well at this point, soon she was at a grave marked Shinjiro Aragaki. She smiled at it.
Merry Christmas Shinji!âŚUm this weeks flowers are red. I thought it would be more christmasy.
/She placed the flowers on the grave, brushing off dead ones from last week to the ground. She brushed off some of the snow that had piled on the grave as well.
There! Now it looks nice for Christmas!
/Rise knelt in front of the grave, her smile was faltering a little.
Alright lets see, what can I tell you this week? Well I spent Christmas Eve with my family, at my Auntâs house of course. No mother and father thankfullyâŚ..well father did call to wish my grandma merry christmas. I had to leave the room for awhileâŚheh I dunno if Iâll ever be able to hear him without being so scared but anyway besides that it was really funâŚ.I wish you could have been there.
/She found herself clasping the ring on her necklace which hung outside of her coat. Rise wasnât smiling anymore.
Iâve been thinking about when we spent christmas together last year, it was so niceâŚI-Shinjiro I miss you. *sigh* I say that every time I come here though. Every timeâŚI rather you not be here. I want this Christmas to be with you next to meâŚ.but that canât happen. Instead you are somewhere far awayâŚ.
/Rise started to cry.
I-I mean, I still come here e-even though I know you are gone! I g-guess I have a d-dumb hope that you would be h-here. Alive and telling me that i-its going to b-be ok now. ThatâŚI w-wonât be alone anymoreâŚ.Iâm sorry Iâm s-so patheticâŚ.I j-just canât smile for you or be h-happy while Iâm here. Not e-even on christmasâŚ.Iâm sorry, I canât s-stop crying. Iâm so sorry.
/She buried her face in her hands and continued to cry.Â
Naoto found herself following Rise all the way up until she spot where the ex-idol was heading towards. A graveyard. Naoto stopped a distance away, watching Rise enter itâs gate, clutching the batch of red flowers close to her.
The sleuth hesitate to follower. The graveyard and itâs surrounding areas is otherwise empty and it gave of a very sobering feeling that chills Naoto to the bone. There is only one reason Rise would be here and she isnât sure if intruding on such a moment would be a wise idea.
Sukuna-Hikona, of course, have other ideas.
'Follow! Follow!' the Persona urged. Naoto can picture him hovering around, wings/cape flapping, tickling the back of her mind. 'Go! Follow!'
Partially because of the Persona and partially because of her curiosity, Naoto moved soon afterward, following Riseâs footsteps in the snow. She didnât approach right away, the doubt is troubling, but stopped just at the end of the path leading to the specific grave, close enough to hear her words.
Shinjiro⌠thatâs the name she had heard mentioned in relation with Rise before. And now Naoto understand why everytime someone mentions the name, Rise will have the most saddening and sober look in her eyes.
But what tears at Naoto the most is seeing her cry.
As she watches Rise huddle in front of a grave, burying her face into her hands and the heart-wrenching sobs that escape her lips and the tears that sheâs trying to hide from the world⌠it made Naoto want to reach down and pull her into her arms. It makes Naoto want to stop the tears any way she can.
An image flashes before her eyes for a brief moment, of a small blue-haired child couching before a pair of graves, crying silently as they place a single flower in between the resting places of those who was very dear. Instead of the snow, it was rain, and it had been roughly 11 years ago, but the loneliness and chill remains to this dayâŚ
Before she knows what she was doing, she stood before Rise. She have no experience in comforting a crying girl, especially not on a matter this close to heart. So instead of saying anything, Naoto simply got down to Riseâs level and pull her into a hug. It was impulsive, it was messy and part of Naoto is scared sheâs doing something terrifyingly wrong.
/Suddenly Rise felt herself being pulled into a warm hug. Instinctively she let herself be hugged, then she realized she did not know who was hugging her. Worried it was an anon Rise stiffened in pure panic but then she heard Kanzeonâs voice.
Relax, it is Naoto-san.
Naoto-kun?
/She relaxed again but she pulled back a bit to see Naotoâs face.
W-What are y-you doing here-wait. How much d-did you hear?Â
/A flood of more emotions came in at realizing Naoto most likely did hear everything; confusion at Naoto even being there, anger at herself for not noticing her earlier, and embarrassment from being seen so upset. More then anything though she was just miserable.
I g-guessâŚnow you knowâŚ.
/She looked down.
Iâm sorry I didnât t-tell you beforeâŚI umâŚ
/Rise attempted to wipe her tears away but they would not stop.
*sniff* Iâm s-such a mess right now Iâm sorryâŚ.
/Clinging to the front of Naotoâs jacket she continued to cry.
The snow continue to fall and kneeling on the ground, Naoto numbingly note that her legs and knees are wet from the melted snow, a fact so utterly insignificant compared to the dark dots dropping on her coat as she pulled Rise just a bit closer.
"Donât apologize." Naoto answered, voices low and almost just whispering in Riseâs ears. "Just⌠donât."
Words of comfort had never been something Naoto is skilled at and something she have no experience in, not unless she counts back to the memory earlier. But she refuse to go there, it wouldnât be right.
So as she tries to find something to say, anything at all, she moved to tighten her arms slightly around the former idol, eyes that wants to watch the tears was stubbornly focusing on a tree a distant away. She remember a tree like that in a different graveyard as well, despite her best effort not to.
Seeing Rise like this is bringing back at lot of memories. Unpleasant and sobering. The event it linked to shaped Naoto as she is now. A part of her donât want that, not RiseâŚ
"Donât hold anything back." Suppressing sadness, trying to hide from the world⌠she thinks they all learned better now. "Iâm not leaving you."
