Fluttershy might be able to win over Laserbeak, Ravage and Beastbox but I doubt she'd have as easy of a time with Buzzsaw and Ratbat.
Edit: Well, I stand corrected about Ratbat...
Edit 2: Even Frenzy?!
so it seems the recent transformers crossover comics have taken a RIRFIB stance which is..... a choice.
Sometimes i love the petty bullshit in this fandom
So.
A whole mess of new official reveals dropped in the Transformers fandom today, courtesy of the ongoing news releases out of Toy Fair, and there’s one little thing in an announcement on TFW2005 that just speaks to me.
These little dudes, these absolute block-shaped little bastards, are part of the upcoming line of releases for the “Earthrise” portion of War For Cybertron.
Skar, Knok, [REDACTED, we’ll get to him in a bit], and Wingthing. The first two are a bit of a deviation from their roots, but a perfectly reasonable way to implement them into the current toyline, and the last was already traditionally a Ratbat repaint, so all is well.
Then there’s this f*cker.
You will note, he is BLUE.
For those not familiar, one of the longest running wars in the TF fandom (likely only losing to ‘trukk not munky’ and other G1 purisms) is over what are the ‘proper’ colors for Decepticons Rumble and Frenzy. The way in which people handle this ranges from intentionally exaggerated seriousness with a wink and a nod, all the way to torches being brandished as the opponents dig themselves into their foxholes.
So when the news of this release, and the toy being labeled as Rumble, hits, one of the most prominent TF news sites felt the need to put a disclaimer in the announcement.
Rumble (that’s what the description says)
The person posting this news basically put the TF equivalent of “don’t @ me” as an asterisk on this.
I love what a self-aware pile of pettiness and drama this fandom and the subsequent lore are at times.

I am in need of your help. I recently constructed (using LEGOs) Soundwave, Rumble, and Frenzy. However, I need your advice on an important issue within the Transformers universe- WHICH ONE IS RED? It was Rumble in the toys, but Frenzy in the show. I need your help with this very sensitive issue. Cast your votes now using the reply and/or reblog functions.
