Skateboarding lost an icon today. I’ll miss you Jake. We first met in the late 90’s at a bar in SF. I remember you making fun of me for not skating transition. Over the years, you continued to heckle me, occasionally told me you were proud of me, gave me some good advice, but mostly talked shit and challenged me to be a better skateboarder when our paths crossed at the skatepark. You would randomly pop your head into my store just to say my name as if you were somehow making fun of me, but never came inside. Skateboarding will not be the same without you.
