i think the reason why i feel so strongly has to do with some previous events at work.. there was a certain day where someone’s suicide attempt was brought up to my friends at work and they had said something along the lines of “if (the roommate) wanted to kill themselves, (he/she) wouldn’t have used sleeping pills, they were probably just looking for attention..” without thinking i had stated “that’s really fucked up guys...it’s so fucked up” and i could not believe that these dear friends of mine were talking about something that’s so close to my heart in a manner that disgusted me so much... i held back my next words but inside i told myself that “i was right, this is why you guys will never understand someone like me with depression and the will to end the misery, you will look over my dead body and tell yourselves that i never gave you the chance to understand and that you had no idea it was that serious”
