Saturday night, at around 10:30ish, I had to say the hardest goodbye I've ever had to say in my life. Ginger "Buckey" Wirth, my princess, my baby girl, my diva, my lil sassafras, my other half for 20 years, has joined her brother, Tigger "King" Wirth, in Kitty Valhalla. When I was 7yrs old, back in 1997, we rescued Buckey & King(their original names). Because someone had just abandoned the litter of kittens, Buckey & King were very sick when we brought them home, but we were able to nurse them back to being healthy and decided on the names Ginger(my favorite Spice Girl) & Tigger(my favorite from Winnie the Pooh). Ginger and I instantly bonded, and she has been by my side ever sense. About 2 1/2 months ago, Ginger was acting strange and after a visit to the vet, we found out she had a very enlarged liver that was causing complications. But let me tell you something, my girl was a fucking fighter. She fought till the very end. Even in her last moments she was being sassy about the situation. I don't know a life without Ginger. I don't usually say this, or at least without poking fun at the phrase but, I genuinely feel blessed to have had her in my life for as long as I did. My heart and soul are in pieces. Living without you is going the be the biggest challenge in my life. Ginger, I fucking love you so so very much and I always will. Thank you for every cuddle, every head butt, and every nose kiss. Thank you for being there when I needed you and always listening to my bullshit. Thank you for being by my side for 20 years. I will never forgot you my princess. You will forever and always be in my heart. 💜🌙 #RIPGinger #1997-2017 #bffsfor20years #mygingercat #always (at City of Anaheim Hills)
