The start of 2020 has brought us long overdue copies of one of the great albums of 2019. Purple Mountains would prove to be the final studio release from the late David Berman. We've been big fans of his work with Silver Jews for a long time and were shocked and saddened to hear of his passing last year. Easily one of the best indie-rock lyricists and song-writers of the past 25 years, he left us with perhaps his finest ever collection of songs.
