I kind of miss those aim/messenger days
Those days where you could log into you computer, have that messenger app sign on automatically since you were too lazy to always manually sign in, and see all of your friends online with dumb statuses and buddy icons. It's different nowadays, having people there to text isn't the same. Back then, you could see all of your friends that were online and knew if you wanted to or needed to talk to them, you could. You knew if they were available, idle, or just offline. It kinda just gave you a sense of mind and security knowing that. And there were always certain people: friends, family that you talked to via messenger that became a daily routine. Like, you'd come home from school, log on knowing they were there waiting to talk to you and ask you about your day. It was a special thing that kept me connected with my peers and family.
