I'm seriously heartbroken and devastated! As much as I know this is just a tv show, it's a tv show I've watched from the begging fell in love with! Rayna and Deacon were finally together and happy like they were supposed to be and they shared a love that was truly inspiring and completely true. At this point I don't know what to think! I just hope Deacon doesn't start drinking again and I hope the girls are taken from him! I know there's going to be Ted and Tandy drama because of Rayna's death and at this point in time that angers me because I can't stand either of them and it's definitely NOT what these girls need!! I really wish Deacon and Rayna would of gotten their happy ever after! 💔💔💔😭😭😭
I feel like I’ve chosen strange timing to return to tumblr...right after the best character of my favorite TV show dies - but in a way this is what has driven me to come back (looking at gifs and sobbing for instance).
All I have to say is that I loved Rayna Jaymes, her strength, her sass, the wisdom she sometimes possessed and of course her relationship to Deacon. I am heartroken over losing her and I feel robbed of many great scenes we would have been blessed with had she lived. I admire Connie Britton, she gave Rayna Jaymes that ounce of Tami Taylor she often needed, she is a significant factor that has made this show great, and although I am heartbroken I accept her choice to leave the show and I hope she moves on to other great projects.
A part of my love for this show has died with this character, but there are more things to love about it, which is why I’m not about to turn my back on it but will continue to watch and be grateful it still exists.

Shortly before this season started, I decided to start watching Nashville. I didn't watch it when it originally premiered because at the time, I was trying not to add more shows to repertoire. I knew I would probably like it because it involved music and Connie Britton and I am a sucker for drama, even when it gets a a little soapy. Imagine the emotional roller coaster ride that I've been on with this show in a short time span. I feel for those who have been watching it and riding it out since it first aired. Why, why did I decide to start watching this? 😭
