Good Old Days
I remember when the Trinity fandom was the fueling factor behind me getting out of bed in the mornings. Racing to finish homework to read the latest from @hartorotica and @yotoobfiction and some of the other big Hartbig writers. MDK & YDAD marathons on the weekends. Squealing when any of my own fics started getting attention. The hours upon hours of tumblr scrolling.
And suddenly that entire world fell away. We stopped writing, stopped reblogging, stopped creating. Our pages went inactive or dedicated themselves to other fandoms. Our muses became different people, and by default, so did we.
Seven years ago, we were all full of such youthful promise, and now we’re all the adults we never wanted to grow up to be. While this blog is not going anywhere, for nostalgia’s sake, it is unlikely I will be logging into or using it again.
To that I say: I miss you all. I love you all dearly. I hope that each and every one of you has been able to stay safe and sane throughout the shit show that was 2020. I hope you all have been able to put deep and lasting impressions on the world around you. I hope that the talent and charisma that was discovered and nurtured in our digital world, paved a greater path for each of you to walk IRL. And I hope we all meet again, some day.
To the three goofballs that brought each and every one of us together.......from the bottom of my harto......THANK YOU.
Name a more iconic duo than Jill and setting up new players for failure
So Mace dying was sad… but to be perfectly honest, we all sort of knew this was coming. It’s likely that no one’s as upset by it as they probably should be, and that’s because the way the writers set this up sort of foreshadowed his death. He’s a solid, righteous character, but they never gave us any information that really mattered about him. He did what was right, yeah, but that doesn’t make a man- it makes a figurehead, and, in the end- a martyr.
This was definitely a strategic move on the writers’ parts, and it’ll be really interesting to see everyone’s reactions to it next episode.
Mace died the hero that he wanted to be
