Sometimes, on occasion, his days were a little weird.
Today, however? Oh, today was the weirdest given the call he'd just received from his office.
"Someone is trying to kidnap your daughter," the caller had said.
Not on his watch!
He left his office as quickly as humanly possible, not even thinking twice about whether he'd face consequences later as a result of not telling anyone where he was going. He didn't care. Elicia was more important.
By the time he reached the location he had been given, he had a knife firmly between his fingers ready to stab someone with or throw in his right hand. Either way, whoever dared to try and threaten his family would not escape with their life. Maes didn't kill lightly, but he also wasn't a total pacifist by any means either.
And neither was Gracia, it seemed, given the fact the man he was after was very much not alive anymore. Gunshot wounds to the knee and head, point blank range based on the rest of the scene.
Good fucking riddance.
He checked around to make sure there were no other threats. Once he deemed it safe, he tucked his knife away to go find his wife and child to make sure they were okay.
"Gracia? Elicia? Are you two alright? Where are you?"
