This was so well animated...but this moment hurt so much. It’s another painful reminder that, in more ways than they ever realize in canon, Team Bucci and La Squadra want the same thing. They both want to kill the Boss. But they never realize how similar they are and Buccellati’s crew ends up killing nearly all of La Squadra (granted that La Squadra came at them with deadly force, but that’s beside the point right now). 

This is one of those moments where I feel like a lot of people might suddenly feel genuinely torn. For me, all the fights between Bucci’s crew and La Squadra have been hard because I didn’t want to see members on either team die or get hurt. But I think this is really the moment where it might become more clear to people that maybe we had La Squadra all wrong and that maybe La Squadra wasn’t the group of bad guys that they were built up to be and maybe, just maybe, they were fighting the same fight that Bucci’s crew was and it was just a matter of neither side being able to communicate that to one another.
