I’m tired
I’m tired of this shit.
This happened in my country so I’m sharing it pain and shamefully. A group of kids thought it was fun to play football with two small kittens, killing both in the process. The first one died on the spot. An indignant passer-by saw this and stopped the children, rescuing the second cat, who was named Broken. She was taken to a vet (seen in the video) who tried, unsuccessfully, to save her life, after she suffered from full rupture of the abdominal wall. The vet said he hadn’t seen such an injury in 30 years. These kids really wanted to hurt the kits. So, I’m tired.
I’m tired of animals being considered nothing but objects devoid of feelings and thus exent of proper treatment. I don’t mean we all have to go vegan here. But we should at least RESPECT the lives we are taking. We should punish those who can’t follow the very simple rule by which any alive being deserves a chance and appreciation. But most of all, we should TEACH younger generations said respect from the earliest of ages, throughout society.
So next time anyone gives me the “oh come on don’t be like that, it’s just a fish” excuse me but I’m not taking none of your shit anymore. I’m not gonna take the “you ain’t teaching anything to MY child” because children are not your property. Children are in your care, but they are NOT yours. So I’m gonna teach as many people as I can what I know about animal care and respect. Granted, it doesn’t come from scientific studies, because I chose a different path in my life. It comes from my fucking /humanity/, something all of us should have and share, and never question.
