Futuristic: The Ring House by MZ Architects, Saudi Arabia

Disconnected from all surroundings: this is the desirable state that a young jewelry designer in Saudi Arabia strives for in order to cultivate her creativity. MZ Architects have come up with a design that meets the artist's expectations and even fits in her family home's garden. Shaped like a cocoon, the house symbolizes a place of intimacy and peace but also the coldness of a blank canvas with its futuristic look. The annual LEAF awards have therefore honored the Ring House as Best Future Building of the Year.
