Maybe one day when i get enough time and experience i’ll make an fgo fanservant zine bc i’m an idiot but

this is a very hard question and it requires a thorough analysis. let’s examine the contestants:

Alexandrite

a powerful cutie with powerful, bitchy eyebrows. note how the brows significantly

contribute to the intensity of the gaze. this is a nerd who’s anguishing inside. this is a nerd who means business.

and yet, while eyebrow bitchiness is indisputably 10/10, bushiness levels don’t seem to be quite on par with stronger contestants. here an official picture with Diamond as reference. Our final evaluation is 9/10

Euclase

a strong opponent. shadiness is stored in the eyebrow, as some would say, and Euclase has character development to spare. 

They flaunt impressively bushy brows in not one but two constantly shifting colors. As someone who’s renowned to love the methodical predictability of numbers, they sure know how to surprise people. 

They take home first prize as gem senior with the thickest eyebrows. But will this be enough to beat Diamond? 9.5/10

Diamond

“a cute, strong idol for everyone,” as Ichikawa sensei kindly informed us. and Dia’s eyebrows do come off strong. their round, thick shape is a trademark of the character’s overall cuteness.

and yet, a more superficial analysis might dispute our previous evaluation of Euclase’s eyebrows, claiming evidence of equal brow-thickness between Dia and Euc. One example is the picture below, where the two gems join forces as “team bushy brows”

however, we must dismiss these claims and only focus on the pursuit of truth as proud and emotionally devastated rock scholars. recent evidence shows that Ichikawa sensei has redesigned Euclase, depriving their eyebrows of significant part of their volume.

while we do not yet know if this change of heart symbolizes the fact that Euc’s true colors are finally coming through, we must remain true to our mission and take the recent artbook into account.

Diamond’s brows, however thinner, have remained thick and cute through hardships and chapters. We can thus attest that Diamond is officially in possession of the thickest gem eyebrows in Houseki no Kuni.

Lapis

Rutile

ohh this is a cool one

falls asleep on the couch: lapis lazuli. rutile is known to fall asleep in weirder places, like the floor, the kitchen table, the car, while standing up...

makes friends with the neighbors: neither of them, though lapis will chat with the neighbors from time to time just to meddle into someone else’s business. rutile thinks it’s a waste of time

is the adventurous eater: rutile. lapis is an extremely picky eater and rutile is one of the few people that know about it. as for rutile, after a 36 hour shift you’ll learn to eat almost anything to survive

hogs the covers at night: lapis, and they kick in their sleep as well. maybe it’s a good thing rutile isn’t home at night that often

forgets to do the dishes: rutile. can’t be trusted with house chores, sometimes they’l cook but that’s about it. cleaning the kitchen or the dishes after that wasn’t part of the deal

tries to surprise their partner more often: lapis lazuli, though not always in a ... pleasant way. they just want to have fun

leaves dirty laundry on the floor: depends. if it’s the weekend or if rutile isnt working, then it can be either one of them, if it’s a working day then it’s rutile, they dont have the time to do laundry

stays up til 2 AM reading: lapis. sometimes they’ll do it to wait until rutile comes back home so they can ask rutile about their day and maybe cheer them up or cuddle them if they had it rough

sings in the shower: lapis, and they’re extremely loud

takes the selfies: lapis again, they do it without warning, to annoy rutile, but truth is they like to look at the pics when rutile is working, it keeps them company
