1. Any song I want, from any generation, I can listen to. And I can listen to my personal music collection anywhere I go. The entire thing.

2. If I’m obsessed with a particular song, I can listen to it non-stop, uninterrupted.

3. I can tell people my age that I’m non-binary and reactions range from “that’s cool” to “oh shit, what pronouns should I be using?” Try doing that even ten years ago.

4. It’s incredibly easy to casually keep in contact with my friends that have scattered across the country, and even across the globe. Speaking of which,

5. International online friends. Back when I played Runescape, I had an online friend from New Zealand. I’ve never even been to New Zealand, but I had a friend from there that I’d play Runescape with somewhat regularly for a few years.
