What are Stan and Mabel like in current day Rift Mess AU? After they left?
Since Ford evacuated the entire town and Stan didn't have the heart to send Mabel home alone, he hoped on the bus to accompany her on her trip back to California. The twins's parents were given an excuse about Dipper staying in Gravity falls to be Ford's apprentice (After coming clean about the whole "faking his death deal") leaving the Apocalypse part out of course. But when it was time for Stan to leave, Mabel begged her parents to let him stay with them. Since he had nowhere to go and Mabel's dad wouldn't leave his uncle on the streets, specially not after caring for his kids all summer, Stan is now living in Piedmont, California on the twin's attic.
I think Ford is just obsessed with closing the rift at all cost while Dipper would be around living his life with the GF creatures and trying to get his grunkle out of the lab from time to time

So yeah, Bill spends a lot of his time anoying Ford in his dreams now that he has nothing else to do but float in the mindscape. Reminding him of his failure to save the town and what not.
