The last few chapters were BEASTS and there's a ton of editing and rewriting and typing up that I will need to do but...YAY!

I'll be working on drafting Book Two soon, which I am super excited to get to, but I may take a break to write a couple of unrelated non-fiction essays I've been wanting to get around to for a while.

Also, I have a major sled dog race coming up in two weeks, so who knows how much time I'll have for writing...

Hello tumblr-verse! It’s been a minute.

As you have probably gathered from the lack of updates, posting of ‘Riftlash’ is currently on a hiatus of sorts for various reasons - not the least of which being that this author is entered in a 300-mile dogsled race and training for an event like that takes up about 99% of my free time.

However, ‘Riftlash’ is far, FAR from being abandoned and I have continued to work on it as I can, and it’s been such a joy to finally pen scenes I’ve had in my head for years! I can’t wait to be able to share them with readers!

I am currently in the middle of writing the initial longhand draft of the final chapter of Book One! The last chapters ended up being MASSIVE, and going on for pages and pages and PAGES longer than I originally expected them to. There’s just...a LOT that happens at the end of Book One, to set the stage for what is to come in Book Two.

But that’s getting way ahead of myself.

At this point, I plan to resume posting in Spring of 2021, and I am deeply looking forward to doing so! There’s so much more of the story that I’m super excited to share!

In the meantime, I’d like to do a bit more with this blog to help keep the Gravity Falls fandom alive. I’m not entirely sure what that’s going to look like outside of the usual fandom content reblogs, but there’s a lot of potential.

A group of excitable paranormal investigators find themselves with an unexpected young teenager tagging along as they film an episode for their popular ghost hunting show.

*(I have come to realize that this first chapter is such a direct parody of a certain other show that it *almost* counts as a crossover.)*

I've created a cozy little setup for working on Project Riftlash these days! There's a lot of writing, re-writing, typing up what's been written longhand, formatting and editing going into this thing.

Best part about setting up shop on the corner of the sofa? I have excellent company in the form of canine and feline moral support (even if they do sometimes sit on the computer or knock the notebooks onto the floor).
