hello, guys. i'm sorry i haven't posted any updates to my fics, especially after promising that i would finish some of them. i also don't know if i'll be able to post a caleb fic for his birthday.
writing has been really hard for me lately. i'm not sure if it's burnout, writer's block, or if i should have listened to my friends and some readers when they told me to rest. but i think the combination of burnout and writer's block has finally caught up with me.
also, two days ago, we experienced a really strong earthquake in our city. idk if you guys have seen the news, but a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit southern philippines, and our city was close to the epicenter, and we were hit with a 7.0 quake. fortunately, i work from home, and it happened early in the morning, so i wasn't outside doing any errands or chores.
our electricity is back, although we're still experiencing occasional power outages, and our main internet connection hasn't been fully restored yet. there have also been several strong aftershocks, and the authorities said it could take days or even weeks before they stop. i really hope the 7.0 is the big one and no strong ones will follow at least anytime soon. the philippines is located along the pacific ring of fire, so earthquakes are unfortunately common here.
sorry this post ended up being so long.
i haven't been sleeping much since it happened. i have lived through many earthquakes over the years, but this was honestly the one that scared me the most.
i will still try to write something for caleb's birthday if i can, but i'm also giving myself time to rest and prepare, just in case.
