So this story starts a few sessions into the campaign but still one of my favorite. So we have Thyrn, a fighter half celestial and Ridthor a Centaur druid. Thryn ended up owning a homestead for saving a lord's grandmother as a reward. I might go into that particular session later but it's not really that interesting. Anyway, so he invited Ridthor to come with him. I can't remember the exact reason but Thryn was called to the front of his homestead. Out in the distance he saw what looked like a demon surrounded by corpses. So Thryn goes and investigated the situation. The "demon" turned out to be another pc who was a minotaur half dragon named D'rrunn if I remember correctly. His name was spelt funny. Anyway, he just standing there looking up to the sky with his tongue hanging out. D'rrunn had a low intelligence score you see so he couldn't talk very well and we had a running skit that he would just stop and look up into the sky for no reason lol. The corpses we're hobgoblins that were sneaking around. And that's how D'rrunn and Thryn met up. Thryn brought him back and D'rrunn and Ridthor immediately bonded due to "monstrous humanoid" and the fact that they couldn't get around the human size buildings. Anyway. At some point after they discovered a little girl uncoucious in a destroyed trade caravan with only her as the sole survivor. There might have been signs of an explosion if I remember right. Unfortunately I don't remember this detail well but it led to Thryn and Ridthor investigating the nearby forest. I believe there were tracks that led that way. Eventually they run across a pack of gnolls who were living in the forest. Ridthor was able to communicate with them and asked if they knew anything about the girl. The leader, an all white gnoll, was vague and insisted they take the girl and go. This led to Ridthor and Thryn returning to the homestead. Eventually the girl woke up and started wrecking havoc in the house. Thryn eventually locked her in the library thinking he had her trapped but she was able to get out a window and crawl her way in the roof. By this time played number three made their appearance, Athelia, human sorcerer. She ends up charming the child and getting her to behave. I, as dm, was a little disappointed by this because for one I thought it was a lame why to calm the child and I also was having fun watching Thryn and D'rrunn struggle to control the child lol. But whatever. Athelia was able to learn the child name was Asha but that was all. For Asha had forgotten her past. This is more or less how the three players came together
